Letter from the Editors

Hello there pardners,

Ah, the old West: a time of cowboys, cowgirls, and other cowpeople. Our contributors weren’t horsing around this time. We lassooed up the best of the West from east to west, but especially the west. Saddle up for a few stories, poems, and art that will keep you entertained on the range. But we won’t buffalo you into enjoying them.

A special thanks to Emily Lakehomer for the cover cowgirl in blue, everyone who submitted a piece or two, and to readers like you.

As the sun sets on summer, we’re looking forward to fall. The leaves are dying, the rain is here, and it’s getting darker. But don’t shy away from the shadows, be inspired by them! Our next issue will be Horror! What makes you want to lock your doors at night but also during the day, other than the falling temperatures? Put a new fear into us. Make us faint. Keep us up at night.
