Laughter in the Hallway – Lynette Esposito

You better not run
Grandmother says.

Off they go like firetrucks
sounding the alarm with wild laughter
as they tear down the hallway
with grandmother behind chasing
with her heavy steps after their light ones
roaring like a dinosaur
