Juice for the Babies – Terry Trowbridge

They can’t form sentences
so they try every other way to ask for juice.
Some adults mistake them for selfish demands
but the kids share everything.
What did the adults think it would look like
to live with somebody who doesn’t understand
the tonal distinction between a question and an exclamation?
